Rhytidectomy
(FACELIFT)
Procedure
Improve sagging facial skin and wrinkles, and loose neck skin by removing
excess fat and tightening the muscles. There will be discreet incisions made in
the hidden contour of your ear, which will extend around the earlobe and back
into the hairline. In some cases the deeper tissues may be repositioned to
gain a more youthful contour of the face. Also, a small incision beneath the
chin will permit the removal of fatty tissue, which will result in a smoother
structure of the neck. Following surgery your scars are usually inconspicuous
due to their locations in natural skin liner and creases and concealed by
your hair and at times by make-up.
Length of Procedure
This procedure will take several hours.
Type of Anesthesia

occasionally done under general anesthesia.

Generally, the greatest amount of swelling will occur within the first 24 to
48 hours after surgery. Most of the bruising you will experience will
disappear within two weeks. The numbness of the skin may be present for

behind the ears, where bread-growing skin was repositioned.
